Window Treatments

I'm a MESS! I *was* going to move my studio to
my formal dining room, but have decided against
it, as I have way too much stuff! So... Now I'm
changing everything to match the color I painted
on the walls. Which leads me to this post.

LOL, I know, not a good shot of the windows.
I took this to show you where my antique sewing
machine was going to go (eyeroll) before I decided
about 30 minutes ago to change my mind on the whole
switching of rooms.

I'm thinking just a simple valance shirred on a
rod with this fabric, a 2 inch banding in
gold at the bottom, then finished off with
black tassel fringe.

I promise, I haven't lost my mind...See look
take a closer look of my color schemes

I'll let you know how it turns out. Hobby Lobby
has 50% off all tassels and fringe! I will try and
post tomorrow on Cindy's "show and tell Fridays".
I have some vintage jewelry, I would love
to show you. Prayers go out to all the
people in Haiti and their loved ones.

UPDATE: I already changed my mind on
the fabric. It has some blue in it, and I
feel it will not flow. I'm going to go with
waverly, bramasole chocolate. I ordered it
today, so I guess I'll be cleaning and organizing
my huge mess in the studio today. Wish me luck!

Hi Diane! Oh, I love it! I really love that finial you got sitting up by that bird cage, I have a thing for those, I must have about 15 of all sizes and shapes! Thanks for sharing, keep us posted on what you decide. =)

Hi Diane,
It's so nice to meet you! I just found your blog and it is beautifully done.

Your home and decorating style are just gorgeous. Love it all! Fleur di lis are one of my favorites things as well.

Come by and say Hello anytime!
~Warmly, ~Melissa :)

I am so glad to see there are others that just can't decide what/how they want things. Sooooooo I feel for you my dear!!!! :) I always blame it on being a Gemini & never knowing which "twin" is in control.

Love your fabric. I have that on my sofa & love seat in the living room. Have a great weekend. I'm off to take a jewely class with Diane Cook.

I like the fabric you chose! I think a black tassel fringe would look great on it too! I'm interested to see the Waverly bramasole chocolate also. What trim will you use with it?

I think there's something written somewhere about creative minds and having "a plan".... some rule about having the choice to re-write "the plan" as many times as needed 'til your mind is happy... then changin' it all up 5 minutes later. LOLOL
